EU–India Matchmaking Event 2026: Cluster and SME Collaboration in Clean Energy and Renewables
The European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) will host the EU–India Matchmaking Event in New Delhi and Greater Noida, India, from 21 to 23 October 2026. The event takes place in the context of the Renewable Energy India Expo (REI) 2026 (22–24 October), one of Asia’s largest gatherings dedicated to clean energy, renewables, and energy infrastructure.
The matchmaking event is designed for cluster organisations and SMEs from EU Member States and from non-EU countries participating in the Single Market Programme (SMP) / COSME Strand. Romanian clusters and SMEs operating in clean technologies and renewables are well-positioned to apply.
Objectives
The programme is built around three strategic goals:
- Strengthening EU–India cluster cooperation for the benefit of cluster members, through a dedicated seminar, the matchmaking sessions themselves, and site visits in the New Delhi and Greater Noida region.
- Identifying common areas of interest for cooperation and synergies between EU and Indian SMEs — across sectoral, value chain, and market dimensions.
- Improving industry and academia–industry collaboration in research, development, and innovation (RDI), opening concrete pathways for joint projects between clusters, research organisations, and companies on both sides.
Focus Areas
The event is targeted at organisations active in:
- Clean technologies
- Renewable Energy & Storage
- Equipment Manufacturers for Renewables
- Smart Grid and Energy Infrastructure
- Green Finance & Investment Support

Participants will benefit from a curated three-day agenda combining:
