The EU-Japan Centre is launching its inaugural Defence Mission to Japan in 2025, focusing on business opportunities within Japan’s defense sector. Organized alongside the DSEI Japan – Defence & Security Industry Event, this mission will take place in Tokyo from May 20-23, 2025, providing an exclusive platform for European companies to engage with Japanese defense entities, explore market entry possibilities, and develop strategic partnerships.
Mission Overview
The Defence Mission is a unique opportunity for 12 selected EU-based SMEs to present their solutions at DSEI Japan, the largest integrated defense exhibition in Japan, attracting influential decision-makers from the Asia-Pacific region. Participants will exhibit at the joint EU-Japan Centre booth, where they will benefit from a fully supported presence including Japanese-language promotional materials and on-site interpreters to facilitate interactions.
The mission will begin with a preparatory pitching and networking event on May 20, enabling participants to connect with Japanese government representatives, industry leaders, and EU defense attachés. Following this, participants will engage in three days of exhibitions at DSEI Japan, showcasing their products and services, including aerospace technologies, cyber-security, AI, drone technologies, and maritime defense solutions.
