CHRISTIAN OSTERLIND

Christian Österlind is working as Cluster Policy Development Manager at the Department of Economic Development and Innovation at Region Skåne, the regional government in Southern Sweden. Christian is responsible for developing competetive and effective cluster policies, and the financing and coordination of ten regional cluster initiatives. He has been developing new methods for managing, financing, as well as monitoring & evaluation of the regional cluster initiatives. Christian is also working with the development and implementation of Skåne’s RIS3 strategy – the International Innovation Strategy for Skåne.

Christian’s practical background is in development, coordination, policies, innovation, and international relations, mainly from his previous work with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and two UN organizations, the World Food Programme (WFP) and UNIDO.
