AFACERI.RO TRADE MISSION SUMATRA 2026

13 - 22 October 2026

The Afaceri.ro Trade Mission Sumatra 2026 invites Romanian entrepreneurs, executives, and institutional representatives to engage with Indonesia through a deep, on-the-ground exploration of one of Southeast Asia’s most complex and diverse economies.

Taking place after the Afaceri.ro Trade Mission Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), this segment unfolds as a Trans-Sumatra route across Northern and Western Sumatra, followed by a concluding business program in Jakarta, Indonesia’s political and economic capital. The mission is designed as an immersive experience that combines regional insight, applied learning, and direct exposure to local economic and social structures.

Participants will explore multiple economic and cultural contexts — from Banda Aceh and Medan to Bukit Lawang, Lake Toba, Padang, and Bukittinggi — gaining first-hand understanding of how local governance, logistics, community structures, and informal authority shape business realities in Indonesia. The Trans-Sumatra route provides a unique perspective on decentralization, regional development, and the diversity of economic models within a single national market.

The program concludes in Jakarta, where participants engage in structured business meetings and synthesis sessions, connecting regional insights to national-level policy, market access, and partnership opportunities.
