ViennaUP’26, the premier decentralized start-up festival for international startups, founders-to-be, entrepreneurs who want to connect with investors, corporated and liked-minded people. It has officially announced its Discover ViennaUP program for 2026, which serves as a strategic gateway for high-growth startups to integrate into Vienna’s thriving business landscape and connect with global institutional investors and corporate partners. It offers multiple events in Vienna from May 18-22, 2026 and is specifically for internationals.
From May 18–22, 2026, Vienna will host a series of specialized events designed for international founders seeking to scale within the European ecosystem. To facilitate this, the program offers qualified startups a travel grant to offset the costs of international expansion.
Grant Details and Financial Support
The Discover ViennaUP program provides a travel budget of up to €500.00 per startup. This grant is designed to cover essential participation expenses, including:
- Transportation: International flights, rail, or other transit.
- Accommodation: Hotel or lodging expenses incurred between May 17th and May 23rd, 2026.
- Access: Event tickets for one designated representative per startup.
Please note: Reimbursement is issued following confirmed participation in the program. Local transit and incidental expenses are not included.
Eligibility Criteria
To maintain the high standard of the ViennaUP ecosystem, candidates must meet the following professional requirements:
- Operational Maturity: Startups must be within their first 5 years of operation.
- Proven Innovation: Applicants must present an impactful, innovative solution.
- Market Validation: Companies must be beyond the prototype stage and have already successfully launched in their domestic markets.
